Today, we’re exploring strategies you can use to self-soothe and regulate negative emotions when you’re feeling irritable, anxious, overstimulated, or any other negative or overwhelming emotion. Emotion regulation is a skill that comes with time and practice. It can be a form of self-care, can help us act in alignment with our values, and give us a greater capacity to help our kids emotionally regulate as well. Even if it’s adopting just one or two new strategies, I hope you’ll leave today’s episode feeling more empowered and capable of handling intense emotions.
